Metro MCP connects AI clients to live transit data for DC Metro and NYC Subway systems. Its public site describes real-time arrivals, incidents, and station coverage through the Model Context Protocol. This server is useful for trip-planning assistants, local transit dashboards, service disruption summaries, and location-aware operational workflows. It gives an agent structured transit context instead of forcing it to scrape schedules or rely on stale route knowledge.
