New Relic is an observability platform covering metrics, logs, traces, and the entities that produce them. An agent can query it in plain language or with NRQL, analyze logs and metrics, review alerts and incidents, and investigate application performance. It suits troubleshooting and operational analysis: working out what changed when performance degraded, following a request across services, and checking what alerts actually fired during an incident.
